Pennzoil 400 Predictions
The NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series waves the green flag for the Pennzoil 400 on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Here’s some drivers we like to contend for the win.
According to the latest oddsmakersat YouWager, Kevin Harvick is the favorite to win this race, has he has +325 odds. Other short odds to win are Kyle Larson (+400), Martin Truex Jr.(+600) and Brad Keselowski (+700). The Pennzoil 400 takes place on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 3:30PM ET from Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada and will air live on FOX.
Brad Keselowskiis a former winner of this race and he has had good runs in Las Vegas. Over nine appearances, he has two wins with four top-5 finishes and five top-10 finishes. Keselowski has finished seventh or better in his last five appearances at Las Vegas, including a fifth-place finish last year. I think he continues to do well at the track and is the many to beat today.
Kyle Busch has +800 odds to win this race and I think that is good value for a guy with a 102.9 driver rating at Las Vegas. He is a former winner of this race and has an average finish of 14.2. Busch has been off to somewhat of a quiet start, but I think he bounces back today. He’s too talented of a driver to not land in the top 5 consistently. Busch has already won this weekend, earning a victory in the Truck Series. I think he can win again today.
Jimmie Johnson has +2500 odds to win today and it’s hard not to wager on him when the odds are that long. Johnson has the best driver rating of anyone in the field by a great distance. His rating at Vegas is 112.0. He is a four-time winner of this very races as well. The 2018 season has not been good to JJ yet, but a driver of his skill will turn the momentum around sooner rather than later. Given his long odds, today may be the day that wagering on Johnson may really pay off.
